New Delhi: Former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani may soon get Padma Vibhushan, country's second highest civilian award, according to some media reports.
These reports suggest that Yoga guru Baba Ramdev's name is also being considered for Padma awards. Vedic Scholar David Frawley is also said to be in the race for these awards.
Narendra Modi led NDA government has already conferred Bharat Ratna, country's highest civilian honour, on former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and renowned freedom fighter Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya.
Earlier, the Sports Ministry had nominated badminton player Saina Nehwal for ‘Padma Bhushan' as a ‘special case'. Saina had already received Padma Shri in 2010 and according to the existing criteria, a gap of minimum five years should be there between two Padma Awards.
