New Delhi: Without advance booking, you will not get entry in pubs and restaurants at Connaught Place after 7:30pm today. The place famous for its New Year and get-together parties has witnessed incidents of stunt biking and drunk driving. The city traffic police has taken this decision to prevent any such untoward incident on new year eve.
An official in the traffic police said that only vehicles with valid stickers issued by restaurants will be allowed to enter Connaught Place.Delhi Traffic police has deployed around 100 teams to keep a watch on both rash and drunk driving in the city.
The offenders will be arrested on the spot. Acoording to the data released by the officials last year, only one road fatality was reported as compared to five in 2013 and six in 2012.
