New Delhi: Some persons in a car today tried to abduct a maid, who had alleged rape against her employer in Inderpuri, but she was rescued by local residents, and Aam Aadmi Party activists took her to Chanan Devi Hospital in Janakpuri for medical checkup.
The abduction attempt took place on Pankha Road in Janakpur.
The maid, a resident of Rajapuri used to work in a bungalow in Inderpuri. When she alleged rape, her family members went to the employer, but the latter refused to talk.
As the woman was returning home in an auto, some persons in a car, tried to pull her from the auto, but as passersby came to her rescue, the miscreants fled in their car.
Hundreds of people blocked Pankha Road for several hours and damaged a DTC bus.
Police is yet to register a case of rape.
