New Delhi: The recent actions coupled with anarchic style of governance by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal have annoyed the Non- Resident Indians ( NRIs) living in New Zealand, Australia and the United States.
AAP enjoys support of the Congress but the party has not only recorded a dip in its foreign funding but also facing the ire of the Indian diaspora living overseas.
The hands that once supported AAP and donated with open hands have now started regretting over the same after observing the party's style of governance in Delhi.
The Facebook group started by these NRIs is called: "I Am Sorry I Voted For AAP".
The group states, “We establish this page to show our regrets for voting AAP in a recent election. We apologise to rest of the Indian Aam Aadmis for our serious mistake.”
It is evident with the fact that the party that received foreign funds in 10 lakhs is now getting just thousands per day, over the past ten days.
The Facebook page has already 274 followers.
According to a report published in Mail Today, Ellapparaj Ravi, an NRI from New Zealand and founder of the Facebook page saidd, “They have done no governance since they stepped into power.
"Rather, the party has only engaged in activities which are meaningless and not a matter of priority.
"Every step this government has taken in the past month is for their own political gains and has done nothing for the betterment of the people living in the capital.
"We thought that they are the change we need, but instead they are worse than the existing political parties.”
