Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has revealed his dream project on Rajat Sharma's long-running talk show Aap Ki Adalat.
Aamir says, he would love to make a mythological film on the epic Mahabharata, but in that event, his fans would not be able to see him in other Bollywood films for at least twenty years.
Asked by Rajat Sharma, which Mahabharata character he would love to play, the versatile actor replied: I would love to play Karna, the eldest of the Pandava sons, but since Karna, a Kshatriya warrior, was 6 feet 5 inches, according to the Mahabharata, I would not fit in that role.
Then? “In that case, I would prefer playing Krishna. That's the only role that suits me”, said Aamir amidst loud clapping from the audience.
“But the problem is, I would love to direct the film myself. It would take at least five years to write the script, and the film would be ready only in 20 years. Till then, you will not be able to see me on the big screen”, said Aamir.
The Bollywood star was effusive about the epic Mahabharata. “It is a wonderfully written piece, a challenging one for any director, which would put the Lords of The Rings to shade”, said Aamir.
