Noida: Families of the Nithari victims yesterday remembered their loved ones on the eighth anniversary of the serial killings expose.
Family members and activists of NGO NIRMAN, who gathered here to pay homage to the victims, said their fight for justice continues even today.
The serial killings had come to light in December, 2006 when several residents of the Nithari village approached police with complaints of their children, mostly minor girls, having gone missing.
On December 29, 2006, skulls and skeletons of children and women were recovered from the dry drain behind the house of businessman M S Pandher and his servant Surinder Koli, following which they both were arrested. The rapes and murders in Nithari had sent shock waves across the nation.
