Faridkot, Jul 14: An eight-year-old boy drowned in an abandoned water tank of sanitation department in a village here.
Satvir Singh alias Happy, who was the only child of his parents, drowned after he jumped into the abandoned tank at Devi Walage village for swimming yesterday.
Only a week back the district authorities had ordered to identify all borewells and tanks lying abandoned. The administration had ordered a probe into the incident.
