New Delhi: The Delhi Electoral Office is prepared to conduct free and fair elections tomorrow. 12,000 booths and 95000 government employees have been deployed to assist as over 1.33 crore voters are expected to exercise their democratic right.

After almost a year long wait, Delhi is charged up to vote for the best candidate. A total of 673 candidates are contesting in 70 Assembly constituencies.

Voting will begin at 8 am to 6 pm. There are 2.27 lakh young voters within the age of 18-19 years. Hence Delhi will witness quite a number of first time voters.

Around total 38 lakh voters are under the age of 29 years.

But this high profile election will not only see youngsters casting votes. Over 300 voters above the age of 100 years will also be exercising their franchise.

“Voter slips have been distributed by the BLOs at residences of voters. Any undistributed voter slips can be obtained by voters at help desks outside polling stations,” said Delhi's chief electoral officer Chandra Bhushan Kumar.

Approximately 95,000 government employees have been deployed on election duty, he said.

About 400 wheelchairs have been received for physically disabled people and volunteers will be at the polling booth to assist them.
