Shimla, March 3 : In a tragic accident, 34 persons going in a truck to attend a wedding near Chamba in Himachal Pradesh were killed on Thursday when the vehicle fell into a 300 feet deep gorge, reports India TV correspondent Kumar Jiten.
31 persons died on the spot while three others died on way to the hospital. The accident took place nearly 54 km away from Chamba. The marriage party was proceeding from Tora to Sherpur when tragedy struck due to bad weather and accumulation of soil on the treachery mountainous road.
In another accident on Wednesday, ten persons were killed when a jeep fell into a nullah near Bharmaur adjoining Chamba.
