New Delhi, Sep 3: There was scare in the government-run Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Mohan Garden near Uttam Nagar, West Delhi on Saturday, when 34 girls had to be hospitalized after consuming mid-day meal which was reportedly infected with a dead lizard.
All the schoolgirls were sent to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital. 
The girls began vomitting and complained of uneasiness and stomach ache soon after consuming mid-day meal.
All the students are out of danger and are in Ward No 5, DDU Hospital medical superintendent Dr Bhattacharya said.
Local guardians of the students complained that they had raised the issue of sub-standard mid-day meal being served in the school earlier too, but the school authorities turned a blind eye.
