New Delhi: Two more FIRs have been registered in connection with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's dharna outside Rail Bhavan here which witnessed violent scuffles inside the high-security area where prohibitory orders were in place.
Of the two latest FIRs, all of which have been lodged at Parliament Street police station, one has been registered upon a complaint received from women teachers who alleged that they were attacked, eve-teased and harassed by demonstrators at the protest site.
“An FIR was registered against unknown persons under Sections 323 (hurt), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 341 and 342 (wrongful restraint and confinement) of IPC,” a police source said.
The total number of FIRs lodged over Kejriwal's protest stands now at four.
