New Delhi: A minor girl was allegedly raped by a man on the pretext of getting her a job in South Delhi's Kotla Mubarakpur area, police said yesterday.
The incident took place on Thursday afternoon when Amarpal called the 17-year old girl and told her that he would take her for an interview in Kotla Mubarakpur area for a job.
“The victim told us that the accused allegedly took her to a secluded area where he raped her.
He later threatened her of dire consequences if she revealed about the incident to anyone.
“The victim returned home and narrated her ordeal to her parents who then informed police. On her complaint, a case has been registered and Amarpal who was later traced has been arrested day before yesterday,” said a police official.
The victim who resides at JJ cluster in the area also told the police that the accused lured her saying that he would get her a job after getting her number from somewhere, police said.
