Jamshedpur: Eleven employees of Tata Steel were conferred prestigious Prime Minister's Shram Awards for the year 2012 while Subrata Kumar of the company was given “Shram Ratna”, which was the highest among the Shram award.
Kumar received a cash award of Rs. Two lakhs and a ‘sanad' for his outstanding contribution.
Eleven employees of Tata Steel Ltd were bestowed with different categories of Shram awards which included cash prizes and ‘Sanad' as a mark of recognition for the exemplary dedication of each of the awardees towards their workfields, a Tata Steel press release today said.
The ‘Shram Bhushan Award' (a cash award of Rs. 100000 and a Sanad) was awarded to Dewendra Kumar Dikshit, Abhijit Das Gupta, Pravas Chandra Panda, Yogesh Kumar Verma and Bijay Kishore Mishra (Jointly) and Annie Antony, all from Tata Steel Ltd., Jamshedpur.
Biju Mathew, who is also from Tata Steel Ltd.
Jamshedpur got the ‘Shram Veer Award' (cash award of Rs. 60000 and a Sanad). Harekrushna Kamila, Manoj Kumar Sahoo and Pradeep Kumar Pani (jointly) of the company has been awarded the Shram Shree Award. It carried a cash award of Rs. 40000 and a Sanad.
