New Delhi: At a press conference Islamabad ahead of the NSA-level talks scheduled to be held in New Delhi on Monday, Pakistan's NSA Sartaz Aziz said the purpose of the NSA talks was to achieve calm between the two countries.
Here are 10 important points from his press conference
1. It will be regretful if National Security Advisor talks between Pakistan and India are cancelled on flimsy grounds
2. No serious dialogue is possible with India unless Kashmir is included
3. There is no deviation from the agenda agreed in Ufa to be discussed. India is wrong in saying that Kashmir is not part of agenda
4. We are very disturbed about arrest of Hurriyat leaders. It is violation of their fundamental rights
5. I will be carrying three dossiers on India's RAW activities in Pakistan
6. If I don't get opportunity to hand over the dossiers to Indian NSA in New Delhi, I hope to give it to him in New York next month if he comes with PM Narendra Modi
7. It is India which introduced the condition that there should not be a meeting with Hurriyat leaders which is akin to controlling the guest list for Pakistan reception
8. Three point agenda including exploring modalities for the talks for all outstanding issues proposed by Pakistan was in keeping with Ufa understanding
9. Is it conceivable that India would cancel first ministerial meeting on such a flimsy grounds relating to meeting with Hurriyat leaders?:
10. Don't expect that there will be a breakthrough in NSA-level talks but it will help evolve a mechanism to address issues
