Gurgaon, Mar 28: The cellphone number belonging to Shipra Seth, a Gurgaon-based software professional was erroneously used in a soft drinks ad as that of Bollywood star Katrina Kaif, and since then, life has become a sort of hell for the lady.

For the past four weeks, 33-year-old Shipra has been receiving thousands of phone calls and obscene text messages addressing her as Katrina, reports Times of India.

The soft drinks ad campaign since February says “Katrina ka number label ke andar”.

“I have been receiving more than 1,000 phone calls and large number of SMSes daily. I am tired to telling people, I am not Katrina”, says Shipra Seth.

When she asked the soft drinks company to remove her cellphone number from their ad campaign, the company, according to Shipra, responded that it did not provide the number and so cannot be held responsible if consumers dialled a wrong number.

Shipra then collected labels sent to her by callers from different parts of India in which her cellphone number was printed and slapped a legal notice on the company.

Shipra is on medical leave since January 4 due to a chronic back pain and has been advised bed rest, but the phone calls are making her restless.

I have not been able to sleep properly at night and is on medication, says Shipra.
