India’s Foreign Minister Sushma swaraj, known for being active on social media and offering a helping hand to Indians facing difficulties in different parts of the world, was at her wittiest best on Twitter today when she said that the Indian Embassy will help citizens of the country even if they are stuck on planet Mars.
A man named Karan Saini (@ksainiamd) tweeted this morning that he was stuck on Mars and asked Sushma Swaraj to let him know as to when was the Mangalyaan-II being sent as the food send to him by the Mangalyaan-I was running out.
Sushma Swaraj gave an epic reply to Karan Saini’s tweet and said, "Even if you are stuck on the Mars, Indian Embassy there will help you."
The External Affairs Minister’s witty reply went viral with over 4,000 retweets and over 8,000 'likes' in around three hours.
Sushma Swaraj is known for responding positively to those who are facing any kind of difficulty related to her ministry.
On June 5, she assured a Pakistani man of a medical visa for his father provided the case was recommended by the country's adviser on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz.
Taking to twitter to present his case, Saeed Ayub tagged Sushma Swaraj and wrote "I sold half of my assets 4 (for) my father's liver transplant from India and now no medical visa for us. Why only common man suffers."
Swaraj responded by saying that her sympathies are with him.
"We will give you the visa. Sartaj Aziz Sahib should recommend your case," she added.
