High drama unfolded on Friday in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla after Congress MLA Asha Kumari slapped a woman constable after being denied entry to attend Congress president Rahul Gandhi's review meeting.
However, things never stopped here, as the woman constable slapped Kumari back in a fit of rage.
In the recently held Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh, Kumari had won from the Dalhousie constituency by defeating BJP's DS Thakur.
Meanwhile, the Gandhi scion Rahul Gandhi is in Shimla to review Congress party's performance in the recently-held Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections.
Gandhi is expected to meet party legislators, defeated party candidates and district presidents, and discuss with them the reasons for the defeat.
Wresting power from the Congress in Himachal Pradesh, BJP bagged 44 seats in the 68-seat Assembly to form the government in the state.
Assembly elections in the hill state were held in single phase on November 9. Counting of votes were held on December 18.
