Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti has reiterated that Pakistan is to blame for the ongoing bloodshed in the Kashmir valley.
Answering a volley of questions from India TV Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Rajat Sharma in his popular show “Aap ki Adalat”, Mehbooba Mufti said that Pakistan had a role in the Kashmir problem right from the beginning.
However, the former J&K chief minister insisted that talks with Pakistan was a must for resolving the problem.
“ Why did Atal Bihari Vajpayee travelled to Pakistan in a bus?,” Mehbooba asked.
When she was reminded that efforts of both former PM Vajpayee and present Prime Minister Modi failed to yield results, Mehbooba Mufti said that India needs to keep trying not once or twice but many times.
“ You have to keep trying as much as you love Kashmir,” she added.
When Mr Sharma reminded her that PM Modi has a different style of working as he boasts of having 56-inch chest, Mehbboba said that people of Jammu and Kashmir deserves at least 1-inch out of this 56-inch chest.
“ Out of his 56-inch chest, PM Modi will have to spare 1-inch for people of Jammu and Kashmir,” Mehbooba Mufti said.
