A Class 9 student committed suicide on Wednesday after her school teacher allegedly failed her in exams for spurning his sexual advances. The family of the victim has alleged that her SST teacher used to touch her inappropriately and had told her he would fail her in exams. The girl committed suicide at her residence in Noida Sector 20 after she failed to clear two exams in the result declared on March 17.
"She told me her SST teachers touch her inappropriately, I said since I am also a teacher I can say they can't do it, might be a mistake but she said, 'I'm scared of them, no matter how well I write they'll fail me.' Ultimately they failed her in SST. School killed her," the victim's father told media.
The Noida Police has registered a complaint in the matter and has started the investigation. The body has been sent for postmortem.
"Father has alleged that her daughter was harassed by two school teachers and failed her in exams intentionally.
