The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Wednesday declared results of the written part of the prestigious Civil Services Examination 2016.
The examination was held in December, 2016 and the interviews for Personality Test held in March-May, 2017.
Karnataka girl Nandini K R topped the exams. Anmol Sher Singh Bedi and G Ronanki bagged the second and third positions respectively.

The commission has selected 1099 candidates who have been recommended for appointments to IAS, IFS, IPS and central services.
500 students qualified in general category while 347 candidates were selected in OBC category. 163 and 89 candidates were selected in SC and ST categories respectively.
The civil services examination is conducted by the UPSC annually in three stages — preliminary, mains and interviews — to select candidates for the elite Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.
