Two coaches of a goods train derailed in Uttar Pradesh's Farukkhabad district on Saturday, causing serious injuries to a guard.
The incident happened at 6:15 am near Rajepur village, 1 kilometre from the Kamalganj station, following which rail traffic on the Farukhabad-Kanpur route has been disrupted.
The train's guard has been seriously injured and was rushed to a nearby medical facility, according to an official.
More than 500-metres of rail track has been ripped off and all passenger trains on the route have been stopped.
The cause of the derailment is under probe and the track is likely to be repaired by Saturday afternoon, the official said.
