Two people died and 28 injured due to a stampede after Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati's rally in Lucknow today.
Several children are also reportedly missing after chaos broke out at the rally.
More than one lakh people had gathered at the rally in a huge Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar ground in Lucknow. The rally was organised on the occasion of death anniversary of BSP founder Kanshiram
BSP UP state president Ramachal Rajbhar told the media that one woman had died because of humidity and not in the stampede.
