Narayana Reddy, a local leader of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) was allegedly stoned to death on Tuesday morning in Sultanpur village of Pargi in Vikarabad district.
According to news agency ANI, the deceased leader's supporters thrashed two Congress supporters after the incident. They have been admitted in a nearby hospital.
It is believed that Narayana's followers had recently joined the Congress and subsequently there were frequent clashes.
The TRS leader's alleged killing has taken a political turn in the poll-bound state with allegations that he was involved in a running feud with political rivals in the village.
Police are yet to register a case.
