Telangana: Trainee IAF aircraft crashes in Bahupeta, pilot injured
A trainee aircraft which took off from Hakimpet Air Force station crashed in Bahupeta in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, Telangana on Wednesday, news agency ANI reported. The plane crashed in an open field. Ground casualties, if any, are yet to be ascertained.
A Kiran aircraft which took off from Hakimpet Air Force Station on a routine training mission crashed today morning. The trainee pilot ejected safely, Indian Air Force PRO Anupam Banerjee said in an official statement, adding that a Court of Inquiry will investigate the cause of the accident.
According to the news report, the pilot has sustained injuries and has been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
