Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar health minister Tej Pratap Yadav has claimed that an armed man held his hand when he was on a visit to his Assembly constituency Mahua.
Tej Pratap said a man with a weapon approached him on the pretext of shaking hands with him. However, the man caught hold of him. Later, he vanished from the spot. Tej Pratap's security guards found the weapon from the spot.
The police is yet to nab the man. There is a conspiracy by the RSS, BJP to kill me, Tej Pratap said.
"On my way to Mahua, an armed person held my hand and was unwilling to leave. This is a conspiracy by RSS and BJP to kill me. MLA, ministers are not safe here, how can commoners be safe? The attacker is yet to be nabbed," Tej Pratap said while attacking the state government over the deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar.
Tej Pratap had earlier accused the Centre of conspiring to kill his father after the government decided to withdraw Lalu Prasad's Z plus VIP security cover of NSG commandos.
"They are hatching a murder conspiracy against him (Lalu)...If something happens to him, we will get the prime minister skinned (khal utarwa lenge)," an angry Tej Pratap Yadav had told reporters outside the state Assembly.
"If my father is killed who will take responsibility for this?" asked Tej Pratap.
