India TV has accessed new video of Surgical Strike conducted by the Indian Army inside Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on September 29, 2016. Talking to India TV, former Army chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag revealed that the operation was approved by PM Narendra Modi. General Suhag said the Army had been preparing for the operation since June 2015.
The video, which has surfaced a couple of days ahead of the second anniversary of the secret military action, shows terror launch pads being bombarded and destroyed by Indian soldiers.
The Army had released a few video clips of the surgical strike on June 27, 2018.
Earlier this week, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat had said that he believed there was a need for another surgical strike on terror launch pads across the Line of Control.
"I believe there is a need for one more action (surgical strike). But I would not want to disclose how we want to do it," he told a private television channel in response to a question on whether there is a need for one more surgical strike.
Pakistan has repeatedly rejected reports about Surgical Strike inside PoK, however, these visuals are ample proof of India's claims over the operation. Several terror launch pads were destroyed and dozens of militants, who were waiting to infiltrate into the Indian territory, were killed.
The strike carried out by the Indian Army was seen in response of the terror attack on military camp in Jammu and Kashmir's Uri on September 18, 2016. Nineteen Indian soldiers were martyred in the dastardly attack reportedly carried out Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
