Kashmir witnessed season's heaviest snowfall on Friday but the locals continued to face the brunt of it in the form of electricity and water supplies being hampered.
Heavy snowfall in the Kashmir Valley has caused power breakdown in the region, while people are left struggling to water as well.
Road connectivity too was interrupted across Kashmir due to heavy snowfall.
The 300-km long national highway remained closed, which in turn restricted the food supply in the town.
According to IMD, snowfall is expected to continue for another 48 hours.
The snowfall has also led to inadequate supply of drinking water.
"We have been yearning for drinking water since 20 days. I request the government to get the broken pipes mend and provide us with drinking water', a local said.
In some areas, the snowfall heights upto two feet which has blocked most of the paths for people to commute.
