In a significant development, Shia Central Waqf Board has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ban Madrasa education across the country as it is only producing unemployable Muslim youths.

In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Shia Central Waqf Board chairman Wasim Rizvi alleged that madrasa education has become a business for mullahs and maulavis.

“How many doctors, engineers, IAS officers have come out of these madrasas. Terrorists have definitely come out of madrasas at some places,” Rizvi said.

Shia Board has already sent its report on madrasa education to the prime minister. Now the board has demanded the closure of madrasa education across the country.

In its letter to the prime minister, the board has advocated the need for a uniform education system. It has demanded the linking of these madrasas with CBSE and ICSE syllabi.

“ Madrasas should be affiliated to CBSE,ICSE, and allow non-Muslim students, religious education should be made optional. Have written to PM and UP CM in this regard. It will make our country even stronger,” Rizvi said.

Rejecting Rizvi's allegation, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi termed Shia Central Waqf Board chairman a joker and challenged him to show one Shia or Sunni or madrasa where such teachings are imparted.

"WasimRizvi is the biggest joker, the most opportunistic person. He has sold his soul to RSS. I challenge this buffoon to show one Shia or Sunni or #Madrasa where such teachings are imparted. If he has proof then he should go and show it to the Home Minister," Owaisi said.
