Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP leader Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy have condoled the death of S P Y Reddy.
Sitting MP from Nandyal constituency in Andhra Pradesh SPY Reddy passed away at a hospital in Hyderabad on Tuesday night. He was 68 and had been ailing for a long time.
Reddy, reportedly, had been suffering from heart and kidney related ailments and was admitted to the hospital on April 3. He took ill during the election campaign and was undergoing treatment since then.
In 2004 and 2009, Reddy won from Nandyal parliamentary seat as Congress candidate. In 2014, he won the seat as YSR Congress nominee, but soon switched into the ruling Telugu Desam party (TDP) after the election.
Reddy, a three time MP, was associated with the Congress, BJP, TDP and Jana Sena. He also served as the chairman of Nandyal municipality.
