Hail PM Modi’s efforts towards Swachh Bharat mission Chandrakant said, “I had heard PM Modi's speech on Aug 15, 2015. He had said that 73% in our country don't even have toilets, I felt really sad.”
Chandrakant was astonished as he met PM Modi and said he felt like a elder brother had called him.
“I was shocked to see that a big personality like PM has come to meet a common man,” he said.
Addressing a gathering after the launch of projects under government's flagship Smart City mission in 20 cities across the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "There was a time in our country when urbanisation was considered a big problem. But, I feel differently. We should not consider urbanisation as a problem, but consider it as an opportunity."
Making a strong pitch to consider urbanisation as an opportunity to mitigate poverty and not as a problem, PM said cities have to be strengthened through comprehensive and inter-connected approach combined with increased public participation.
