Bihar capital Patna was rocked by a double murder late on Thursday when bodies of retired commissioner and his wife were found inside their house. Prima facie it appears to be a case of murder, the police said on Friday.
Former irrigation department commissioner Harendra Prasad, 82, and his wife were found dead at their Buddha Colony house. The bodies had several injury marks which point towards murder.
"It's murder. We've suspicions about several people. We are investigating and the case will be solved soon," Patna SSP Manu Maharaj said.
No arrests have been made so far in the case. The police is also questioning relatives of the victims to get details about who all visited the couple in the last couple of days.
The sensational double murder has shocked local residents of the area and there is a wave of fear prevailing among the neighbours.
