Rajdhani Express turned 50 and so Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation plans to pamper passengers of the Howrah-New delhi Rajdhani.
The incharge of the celebrations is the son of the first Rajdhani's catering inspector Ratan Chandra, who passed away in 2016.
Rajdhani Express is India's first luxury train to run from Howrah to New Delhi on March 3, 1969.
The train comprised a lounge car and air-conditioned chair cars. It was for the first time in train travelling that meal charges were clubbed with fares.
Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is served in Rajdhani express along with a dessert.
Also there is a good news for train travellers as Rajdhani trains are going to be even faster than before.
