Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi has made serious allegations against incumbent state CM Nitish Kumar over the deteriorating health of her husband Lalu Yadav, who  is serving jail term in fodder scam cases. Lalu is currently being treated at the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi for multiple health-related issues.

Describing it as a conspiracy by Nitish Kumar and his deputy Sushil Modi, Rabri Devi suspected a foul play in Lalu's deteriorating health ever since he was put behind bars. She claimed that there is threat to Lalu's life in jail as he may have been administered wrong medicine.

"It's a conspiracy by Nitish Kumar, Sushil Modi & government. Lalu Ji is in jail & dying every day, don't know if he's dying due to disease or being killed using medicines. His sugar level is rising. How do I trust govt? If the government asks us to vacate our house we're ready to do it," Rabri Devi told reporters in Patna.

The ex-CM's rant against the present BJP-JD(U) government in Bihar came hours after announced to withdraw 32 Bihar Military Police jawans deputed at her residence.

Following the Nitish Kumar government's decision, Rabri Devi shot off a letter to the CM slamming him for downgrading security at her residence.

"If any untoward incident takes place with me & my family, home ministry will be held responsible," Rabri said in her letter to Nitish Kumar.
