Mysore: Palace Board officials in Mysore are in trouble for allegedly allowing a pre-wedding photo shoot at the Durbar Hall inside the Mysore Palace.
The issue came to light after the photos and video clips of a soon-to-be-wed couple posing in the Durbar and Kalayan Mantap of the century-old Mysore Palace surfaced on social media sites.
The photos and video clips have drawn flak as no one is allowed to take pictures in the high-security zone, which is guarded by armed police and is under CCTV surveillance.
Cameras inside the Durbar Hall are allowed only during Dasara festival, and that too after permission from the royal family.
While a few officials can also be seen in the photos watching the pre-wedding photo shoot, the picture quality clarifies that a set of people were allowed to shoot pictures and video clips in the restricted area of the Palace.
Renowned film producer Sandeshswamy said that this was not possible without the involvement of officials inside the Palace. He also told that the Palace Board officials did not allow him to shoot his film ‘Gowdaru’ inside the Palace.
Even Rajnikanth’s movie ‘Linga’ was denied permission by the government to shoot in the Durbar Hall of the Palace.
