Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday shared his thoughts on a number of issues in his radio talk show 'Mann Ki Baat'. It was the 49th episode of the monthly radio programme. 

Mann Ki Baat was broadcasted on the entire network of All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan (DD). It was streamed on the YouTube channels of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry (I&B), AIR, DD News and Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

Here are important excerpts from Mann Ki Baat:

  • This year 11 November holds special significance as the day when World War-I ended 100 years ago. Our soldiers fought with valour & gave supreme sacrifice and showed the world that they are second to none when it comes to war: PM Modi
  • When it comes to world peace, India's name and contribution cannot be overlooked: PM 
  • I was privileged to meet the talented para-athletes who participated in Asian Para Games held in Jakarta. Their spirit to overcome all adversaries is exemplary and inspiring. India created a new record in these games by winning 72 medals: PM Modi
  • I appeal each one of you to participate in 'Run for Unity' in largest possible numbers: PM Modi
  • This 31st October, let us 'Run For Unity': PM
  • Everyone will love Statue of Unity: PM Modi
  • Sardar Patel's jayanti this year will be even more special as on this day, we'll pay him true homage by dedicating 'Statue of Unity' to the nation. Located by the banks of river Narmada, the height of this idol is twice that of America's renowned 'Statue of Liberty': PM Modi

Mann Ki Baat was also simultaneously broadcasted on AIR's website www.allindiaradio.gov.in. Immediately after the Hindi broadcast, AIR broadcasted the programme in regional languages. At 8 PM in the evening, the regional language versions will be repeated.
