Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is presently in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi, is slated to address a gathering of Bharatiya Janata Party workers at the Pundit Deen Dayal Hastakala Academy today.
Prime Minister in-waiting Narendra Modi on Monday arrived in Varanasi, in Uttar Pradesh to thank the people for reposing their faith in him. After landing at the Varansi airport, the prime minister's convoy took the road to the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple.
PM Modi was accompanied by BJP President Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Amit Shah.

Modi was scheduled to address a gathering of workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during this first visit to his constituency after he won the Lok Sabha elections by a huge margin of 4.79 lakh votes.
His cavalcade passed through various parts of the city. Following his temple visit at Kashi Vishwanath and Kal Bhairav, the prime minister will address a gathering of workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Pundit Deen Dayal Hastakala Academy, said Manish Dixit state in-charge of BJP.
The programme was expected to last four hours.
On Sunday, Modi was in Gujarat to meet his mother Heeraben. He sought her blessings after leading the BJP to a massive victory in the Lok Sabha polls.
Modi is likely to take oath on May 30.
