Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Odisha and Chhattisgarh where he will launch a series of projects on Saturday. In Odisha, PM Modi unveiled a plaque marking the revival of fertiliser plant at Talcher and inaugurated the Jharsuguda airport.
The fertiliser plant at Talcher is the first plant in India which will have a coal gasification-based fertiliser unit and will also produce natural gas. The plant, to be commissioned by 2022, will ensure easy availability of urea in Odisha as there is no urea plant in the state at present.

The Jharsuguda airport will bring western Odisha on the country's aviation map, and facilitate regional air connectivity through the government's UDAN scheme.
The PM also dedicate the new Jharsuguda-Barapali-Sardega railway line and two coal mines of MCL and NTPC in Sundargarh district to the nation.
Later in the day, PM Modi will visit Janjgir town of Chhattisgarh where he will address a ‘Kisan Sammelan’. He will also lay foundation stone for various developmental projects worth over Rs 3000 crore.
