Price of petrol in Delhi on Sunday increased by Rs 0.16/litre making the cost Rs 78.84/litre. Similarly, price of diesel increased by Rs 0.34/litre and touched Rs 70.76/litre.
In Mumbai, the price of petrol reached Rs 86.25/litre (increase by Rs 0.16/litre). Price of diesel also hiked by Rs 0.36/litre, making the cost Rs 75.12/litre.
Since the last week, prices of petrol and diesel have been on a continuous spike.
In Delhi, on August 31, petrol price was Rs. 78.52, while that in Mumbai was Rs 85.93/litre. In Delhi, diesel was sold at Rs 70.21/litre and in Mumbai at Rs 74.54/litre.
