Counting of votes for the Patliputra Lok Sabha constituency is nearing an end. Misa Bharti of RJD has taken a lead over Ram Kripal Yadav of BJP.
The Patliputra Lok Sabha Constituency of Bihar state is currently held by Ram Kripal Yadav of BJP. In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Ram Kripal Yadav beat Misa Bharti of RJD by receiving 39.20 per cent of the votes cast in this constituency.
The key candidates in the Patliputra constituency for Lok Sabha Elections 2019 are Ram Kripal Yadav of BJP and Misa Bharti of RJD.
Patliputra is one of the constituencies in 40-seat Bihar. At the time of the previous Lok Sabha elections in 2014, Pataliputra had 1,736,074 registered electors -- 934,086 of them male and 801,988 female. The constituency had seen a 56.37% voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. In Pataliputra the male voter turnout was 59.30% and 52.96% female voters turned out for voting.
The Lok Sabha constituency went to polls in the seventh phase of the election -- on May 19 and recorded a voter turnout of 51.25 per cent.
The seven phases of the Lok Sabha polls 2019 covered a total of 543 constituencies. Voting in the first phase was conducted on April 11.
Simultaneous elections were held to the assemblies of Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, and Odisha -- the results for which will also be out today.
