Pakistani helicopter violated Indian air space on Sunday along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch sector. According to reports from Pakistan, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir’s prime minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan was travelling in the helicopter.

Defence spokesman Lt Col Devender Anand said the helicopter violated the airspace around 12:10 pm.

Indian troops fired at the helicopter with small arms, he said. The helicopter withdrew into Pakistani territory after five minutes, the spokesman added.

Official sources said a white-colour chopper crossed into this side in Gulpur sector and hovered for sometime before turning back.

According to the LoC agreement, the no aerial object could come within the 5 kilometres of the line of control on each side. But the Pakistani chopper violated the agreement and entered Indian air space and stayed there for almost 2:30 mins, the sources said.
