Pakistani troops today violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Balakote sector of Poonch.
According to news agency ANI, Pakistani troops resorted to firing on forward posts. The firing started around 7:40 pm.
“There was unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan Army in Balakote sector from 1940 hours using 2 inch mortars and automatic weapons,” an Army spokesman said.
Army troops gave a befitting reply, the spokesman said, adding that ‘intermittent firing is still on’.
