In a shocking incident, a woman (42) and her ten-year-old daughter were found dead in their apartment in Greater Noida on Tuesday night.
Police suspect the mother-daughter, who were found at their 11th Avenue Gaur City flat no 1446, were beaten to death by a cricket bat as they have found one with traces of blood.
The incident came to light after the woman's husband, who was out for work, asked his relatives to check on his family as they were not answering his calls since morning. It is suspected that the murderer escaped the incident spot from washroom window as the house was locked from inside when the cops arrived there.
Cops are considering the missing 15-year-old son as the prime suspect in the case as he has been absconding after the murder of his family members.
Meanwhile, police have accessed CCTV footage to extract any clue that would help in the investigation.
