On CCTV, woman techie shot dead in her Noida apartment, police suspects boyfriend

A 23-year-old software engineer working for a reputed mobile manufacturing company was shot dead at Shatabdi Rail Vihar society in Sector 62 of Noida on Wednesday morning

A 23-year-old software engineer working for a reputed mobile manufacturing company was shot dead at Shatabdi Rail Vihar society in Sector 62 of Noida on Wednesday morning. 

The deceased, identified as Anjali Rathour, was a graduate from Lovely Professional University, and was working as a Graduate Engineer in Lava mobile company in Noida Sector 63. 

According to reports, Anjali was tailed by her attacker and was shot dead in the parking area of her society. She was rushed to Fortis Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. 

A native of Yamuna Nagar in Haryana, Rathore had joined work in June 2016.

Police suspect that her boyfriend may be behind the murder. 

According to the police, Anjali shared her third floor flat with six other girls. A person, suspected to be her boyfriend, called her on phone in the morning. When she went to the ground floor to meet him, she was shot dead. 

The incident was captured on CCTV camera of the parking. One of her flat mates found her dead while leaving for tuition.

The flat mate informed other friends and Anjali was rushed to Fortis Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. 

 

“We have talked to the deceased's flat mates and relatives. Primary investigation suggests that the deceased's boyfriend could be behind it. We are investigating the matter and the accused will be arrested soon,” Arun Kumar Singh, SP City Noida, was quoted by Times of India as saying.
