Union Road Transport, Shipping and Water Resources Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the government is taking adequate measures to resolve the surging fuel rates which continue to burn hole in common man's pocket.
Replying to questions of India TV Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Rajat Sharma in his show “Aap Ki Adalat”, Nitin Gadkari said that the government is taking all efforts to reduce crude oil imports and shift to alternate fuels such as ethanol, methanol, bio-diesel, CNG and electric cars.

He also proposed implementing 100 biodigesters in River Ganges."I appeal all of you to turn to alternate fuel. Technology has proven that biofuels can be made from sewage water. We will ensure that all the public transport systems in the country will be run by biofuels".
