Counting of votes for Mumbai South Central Lok Sabha constituency is complete, and Shiv Sena's Rahul Shewale has been able to retain the seat by defeating Congress' Eknath Gaikwad by 1,52,139 votes.
Mumbai South Central Lok Sabha constituency is parliamentary constituency number 30 in Maharashtra.
In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Shewale defeated Congress' Eknath Gaikwad by a margin of nearly 20 per cent votes.
In last four Lok Sabha elections, Shiv Sena has won Mumbai South Central Lok Sabha seat thrice while Congress has been able to secure victory once.
Mumbai South Central Lok Sabha seat has 8,12,576 voters of which 60 per cent are men while 40 per cent are women.
The seven phases of the Lok Sabha polls 2019 covered a total of 543 constituencies. Voting in the first phase was conducted on April 11.
