In a shocking piece of news reported from Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh, a Sadhvi has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by Pradhan of a village.
The Sadhvi, who is principal of a government school, said that the Pradhan had attempted to rape her at gunpoint. The accused has been identified as Intezaar Hussain.
According to the victim, the incident had taken place in one of the rooms of the school where she is currently employed.
The Sadhvi said that Hussain had even thrashed her and threatened to kill. The gruesome incident took place on December 21.
The victim later approached to police and lodged a complaint with Bhojpur police station. She said that the police had arrested Hussain but later released him.
She said that police had initially shown inadvertency in registering the case and filed a case of eve teasing to wind up the matter.
The case was, however, filed after an intervention made by the local MLA.
