Militants on Thursday attacked a police station in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district and search operation are underway, said police.
"Militants attacked the Kralgund police station in Handwara tehsil of Kupwara late Thursday evening," a senior police officer told IANS.
"The attack has been repulsed... firing exchanges between the security forces and the militants are still going on," the officer added.
There was no loss of life in the firing, the official said, adding a manhunt has been launched to nab the attackers.
