Gautam Bambawale, former Indian ambassador to China, on Thursday said India has already given more and more information and rest of the world, except China, is convinced.

“We're disappointed that China has once again for 4th time blocked listing of Masood Azhar at UNSC under 1267 sanctions. It's quite obvious that China is doing this as they've said they don't have enough info about Masood Azhar,” ANI quoted Bambawale as saying.

“We from India have already given more and more information. Rest of the world is convinced. So many countries, including France, UK, USA have backed the resolution. It is only one country China which is still objecting to it,” he added.

China on Wednesday kept Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar, under its protective wings, vetoing a fourth attempt to declare him a global terrorist.

Outraged by China blocking the attempt, responsible UNSC members warned they "may be forced to pursue other actions" at the Security Council if Beijing continued with this policy.

"If China continues to block this designation, responsible member-states may be forced to pursue other actions at the Security Council. It shouldn't have to come to that," a Security Council diplomat told PTI in an unusual tough warning to China.
