Delhi's ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday alleged that Lt Governor Anil Baijal denied permission to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for meeting her Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal.
Kejriwal and his three ministers are sitting on dharna inside the waiting room of Delhi LG's residence in support of their demands.
"Permission denied by LG. Extremely sad state of affairs," Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha tweeted.
Reacting to the denial of permission to Mamata Banerjee, Kejriwal alleged that the LG was acting under instructions of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
"I don’t think Hon’ble LG can take such a decision on his own. Obviously, PMO has directed him to refuse permission. Just like IAS strike is being done at PMO’s instance," he tweeted.
"We live in a democracy. Can PM deny Hon'ble CMs of other states to meet CM of another state? Raj Niwas is none's personal property. It belongs to the people of India, he said in a series of tweets," he added.
