Three workers at an industrial unit in Maharashtra's Palghar district died after chemical leak on Sunday. The incident was reported at around 4 pm at the unit, while the chemical was being filled, an official said.
The unit is situated in Boisar MIDC of Tarapur.
A rescue operation was launched as soon as the fire brigade personnel reached the spot after receiving information about the incident.
Commenting on the incident, Janardan Prabhkar, senior inspector of Boisar police station said, "The workers apparently died due to the reaction of the chemical."

The deceased were identified as Prabhakar Khadse (59), Dattatraya Ghule (25), and Raghunath Gorai (25), an official said.
The exact cause of the deaths will be ascertained after the post-mortem, he said.
"The chemical that had got leaked is being identified," the official said.
